Burnt out instead of enriched
In your relationship, at work, in the family, among friends — when giving only empties you.

Explained in detail
Being burnt out does not mean being able to do too little. It usually means having worked against your own rhythm for too long. We look for that rhythm again.
Burnout is not a state that arrives overnight. It has an order: first the joy goes, then the patience, then the strength, and last the question of who you were before you became responsible for everyone. Anyone far down that order cannot simply "pull themselves together" — that was exactly the path here.
So we start with a sober calculation: where does your strength go, and which part of it is not yours at all. Then the body joins in, because it returns faster than the mind: breathing techniques from the HumanFlow training that fit into a normal day. At the end there is a four-week plan with three steps — small enough to hold on a bad day too.
- Rest no longer works — not even after a holiday.
- You keep giving although there has long been nothing left.
- Cynicism and irritability where there used to be interest.
- You no longer know what you yourself want.
- 1We name where your strength goes.
- 2Breathing techniques from the HumanFlow training, fit for everyday use.
- 3A plan for the next four weeks, small enough to hold.
Three things you can do today
You need no appointment and nobody’s permission. If one of the three exercises moves something, you know the conversation is worth it.
The strength list
10 minutes, today
Note everything that cost you strength this week. Mark what was really your task. Everything unmarked is negotiable.
One no per week
one week
Once a week, say no to something small — in one sentence, without justification: "I cannot manage that this week." That trains the muscle for the big no.
Three minutes outside the door
daily
Before you come home: stay seated for three minutes, breathe in for four seconds, out for six. The day ends before the evening begins.
